Spring Update

Hi friends and neighbors!

As the days get longer and the flowers pop up in our window boxes, we’re excited to welcome the season of sunshine, and community fun! We hope many of you have enjoyed this spring at the lake - including the Easter egg hunt with "Bunny Boo" and a "petting zoo"!?

We’ve seen beautiful landscaping, fresh paint on many buildings and fences, and a community that’s really coming to life this spring!

A BIG THANK YOU to Stacy Heller for organizing our VB "Stuff Swap" on the Boardwalk, and to Rhonda and her crew who hauled away and disposed of our large items following the May long weekends.

THANK YOU for supporting Juan Castro!

We are deeply grateful to our incredible community for coming together in support of one of our own in need - Juan Castro. HOA funds covered his flights, and our homeowners contributed an additional $3,300!

Your generous donations have made a real difference, providing comfort, stability, and hope during a challenging time. Thank you—you’ve truly made an impact.

Spring has continued to be busy for the Board!

Friendly reminders

As we move into the busier summer season, we’d like to remind everyone of a few key community rules to help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all:

  1. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING: Please ensure garbage is out for pick-up each morning by 9am. Please avoid leaving garbage outside overnight to keep "curious creatures" away.
  2. NOISE LEVELS: With open windows and outdoor fun, let’s keep noise courteous—as in our Rules & Regulations— especially during early mornings and late evenings.
  3. RULES & REGULATIONS: Our Veranda Beach Rules & Regulations were updated this spring. *Please note, specifically, the update around "Watercraft Refueling".
  4. PARKING ETIQUETTE: Please remember that our parking rules are in effect ALL YEAR. Veranda Beach roads and lanes should be used only for temporary loading and unloading, then vehicles must be moved to provided parking areas. Watercraft trailers (or other trailers) may not be parked in the Veranda Beach community (unless inside privately-owned garages) during high season summer months (July and August) and must be moved offsite once watercraft has been launched/unlaunched.

Emergency and Safety Reminders

In case you missed it, our HOA Rules & Regulations have been updated this year. Please take a moment to read through and familiarize yourself with these changes. Our community rules are in place to protect the people, pets and property in our beautiful community. In addition, please observe and respect posted pool and spa rules, as well as any other temporary or permanent safety and security notices and contact HOA staff with any questions or concerns.

We also want everyone to be prepared in the event of fire or medical emergencies. Please sign up for Okanogan County Emergency Alerts, and please note, cell phone calls to 911 from Veranda Beach often route to Canada. An emergency phone is located on the Pool House wall, and the Oroville Police Department can be reached at 509-422-7232 or 509-476-2913. An AED (defibrillator) is located on the south wall between the HOA office and Fitness Center south doors, and a first Aid kit is in the HOA office.

Other important AFTER HOURS emergency numbers:

  • HOA Security: 506-560-0432
  • HOA Representative (Rhonda Hinkley): 509-560-3612
  • HOA Maintenance: 509-560-3395

SAVE THESE NUMBERS in your phone!

Our website provides air quality updates from the Oroville IQAir stations, and get real time weather information, thanks to several of our Veranda Beach neighbors.

See Something? Say Something

Because we don’t have the capacity and personnel to monitor everything happening in the community at all times, we rely on the community to follow the guidelines we have in place, and let us know as questions and concerns arise, so we may investigate and remedy those issues.

Please refer to the policies found on our HOA website: www.verandabeachhomeowners.com and contact us at board@vbhoawa.com with any questions or concerns.

Spring has been a whirlwind with the kids busy in hockey, baseball, and softball — so many great memories already! Now we're cheering on the Oilers (our third favorite after the Kraken and Canucks, of course)...hoping McDavid will bring home the Cup!!

As the seasons change, we're looking forward to slowing down and soaking up summer at the lake with all of you. Can’t wait for sunny days, good laughs, and time well spent together!

See you in a few short weeks!
