Days at the Beach

A few recent updates you should know…

1. Meeting DAY CHANGE – Our 2025 monthly meetings will now take place on the fourth WEDNESDAY of each month at 7PM VBT (Veranda Beach Time)(except for December 2025) – meeting recordings are posted following each meeting and will remain available for one year.
2. COMMITTEE recruitment – THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who have stepped up to serve (or continue serving) on one of our committees for 2025.
3. PARKING – Please remember that our parking rules are in effect ALL YEAR. Veranda Beach roads and lanes should be used only for temporary loading and unloading, then vehicles must be moved to provided parking areas.
4. EV Chargers – Payment systems for our EV chargers have been successfully installed on all pedestals and are now operational!
5. Keycards – Starting 3/26, the front desk is updating keycards due to expiration – see Rhonda's recent email for details on collecting your new access cards

• Rental Agency Renewals – The Board is evaluating the compliance of each of the current rental agencies and working on new contracts with those that are in compliance for 2025. Refer to our website for more information about renting your cottage.

Because we don’t have the capacity and personnel to monitor everything happening in the community at all times, we rely on the community to follow the guidelines we have in place, and let us know as questions and concerns arise, so we may investigate and remedy those issues.

Our family is gearing up for baseball/softball season for Zander (11). Ryder (9), AND Quinn (7) while wrapping up Ryder's regular hockey season and diving into his spring hockey! Whew! (If anyone wants to hang out, we'll be at the baseball field or the rink...see you in June!)

Ryder's hockey season has taken us to Victoria, Edmonton (twice!), and the BC lower mainland MANY times this year, and we have enjoyed connecting with our VB family along the way.

We enjoyed Christmas, New Years and mid-winter break (President's Day/Family Day) at the lake again this year, and look forward to making many more fun memories with you all this spring and summer.

In Loving Memory of Cary Van Zanten

Our community lost a "bright" soul, Cary Van Zanten, on December 26, 2024, after an extremely quick and difficult battle with cancer.

Cary had a heart for making our community a better place. He enjoyed being active; and, together with his wife, Laurel, purchased and hauled the benches you'll find at the top of Cactus Mountain.

We will miss you, Cary!
